Who We Are
Grounded Solutions (GS) is owned and operated by Margot Ursic who brings more than 25 years of applied experience as a Planning Ecologist, urban forest planner and facilitator.
As the Principal of Grounded Solutions, Margot provides services independently and builds teams tailored to the given project and client by drawing on her network of associates.
GS specializes in providing services to public sector clients and is known for its quality deliverables, pragmatic problem solving, and responsiveness to client and project requirements.
What We Do
Grounded Solutions works with a wide range of public sector clients and associates to help advance effective planning for, and management of, natural features and areas, trees outside of natural areas, and other green infrastructure assets.
The firm regularly supports:
- natural heritage and urban forest planning and management
- natural asset / green infrastructure planning and management, and
- coordination and implementation of engagement.
This work often intersects with climate change and sustainability initiatives.
